Our Story

I’m part of the Sandwich Generation, those of us caught between raising our own families and caring for aging parents. For me, that meant being the oldest of four brothers, helping my parents, Ted and Mary, through their later years while trying to keep everyone else updated and involved.

Both of my parents eventually faced Alzheimer's. They lived long and impactful lives, filled with love, faith, and generosity. Their final years were filled with doctor appointments, hospital visits, rehab stays, medication changes, difficult care decisions, and constant coordination. My wife and I became the primary point of contact, and while we were honored to be there for them, the communication piece was overwhelming.

Every day brought questions from siblings, extended family, and friends who cared deeply. We tried group texts, shared documents, endless phone calls, but it always lagged behind reality. Important details slipped through the cracks, and during hospital or rehab stays the need for fast, accurate updates was even more urgent. Often, I was too exhausted to rehash everything at the end of a long day.

Through it all, my wife was incredible, taking notes at every appointment, tracking down doctors, and keeping records up to date. Still, there was no simple, central way to share real-time updates with everyone who needed to know.

That’s when the idea for TwixTalk was born. I looked for a solution and couldn’t find one, so I built it. TwixTalk makes it easier for families to stay in sync about their loved one’s health and wellness, so no one feels left out and no one carries the communication burden alone.

I built TwixTalk because I lived this problem. And I believe families like mine and yours deserve something better.
